Idahoan artist Janene Grende has painted for over 30 years in a style called gouache, which is a medium of watercolor-type, opaque pigments. Additionally, she uses silk dyes on silk to create vibrant equestrian paintings from horses to cowgirls. Janene has the distinction of being the first woman to win the Ducks Unlimited artist of the year for her homestate, as well as being the first person to win it twice!
