We are in the depths of winter here in North America so it was definitely time to bring color - a lot of bold, bright colors - into my life. For my last Puzzle of the Month pick, I choose Pure by Clementoni. It is part of the very popular Color Boom collection. For me, gradients are always a relaxing way to puzzle. “Decadent whimsy” was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the new Janet Hill Studio line from New York Puzzle Company (NYPC). The second thought was “I need all of these,” obviously. With fourteen puzzles in the series, it is quite a collection. Worth it!

Jellyfish Puzzle from Gibsons

I have a confession. My favorite part of this crazy habit I call puzzling is getting to explore a completely new-to-me puzzle brand. I absolutely love dipping my toes into the proverbial water of a new puzzle: how are the pieces, will they fit well, is this going to be love, or hate, at first touch?

Hello out there in puzzle land!  It's been a hot minute since my last puzzle musing, but I'm back and ready to talk dissectology!  On the board today is a new to me brand, Workman Publishing.  This company was founded in 1968 and is now the largest trade book publisher in the US!  Thankfully for us, they don't just publish books, Workman puts out a pretty fantastic puzzle as well.  Today's puzzle is called "The Illustrated Herbiary: California Poppy". CONTINUE READING

As I was researching information about Cobble Hill puzzles I ran across their Family Pieces Collection. These puzzles have three different sized pieces – large, medium, and small. Puzzlers of varying age or skill can work together on these puzzles. I wasn’t sure I understood how these would work, so being forever curious I ordered... CONTINUE READING

Over the years I have done a few Anatolian puzzles. Each one that I have done has had very unique and different art. Anatolian is the trademark of the Perre Group, whose corporate headquarters are located in Turkey. In fact, Anatolian is the first puzzle company in Turkey. In general, I stick with 1,000 pieces... CONTINUE READING
