Refreshing My Wishlist!
I managed to avoid most sales, resist the urge to buy things for myself, and steered clear of thrift stores around the holidays and National Puzzle Day. However, I’m getting back into puzzle mode—and that means hunting for new pieces to add to my collection. If you’ve been into puzzles for any length of time, you’ve probably heard this more than once: shopping for puzzles is a hobby in itself. And considering that doing puzzles is actually my job (how wild is that?!), I’m always tweaking my Wish List. Right now, though, it’s in serious need of an update—many of the puzzles on there have already been checked off, while others just don’t spark the same excitement anymore. So, I thought it’d be fun to share some of the puzzles currently catching my eye—whether or not they make it into my collection this year! I’ve got dozens of puzzles I’m eyeing, but I’ll keep this list a little more manageable. That said, there are a few common threads running through my Wish List that reflect my current puzzle obsessions. And hey—feel free to drop your own wish-list puzzles in the comments. I’d love to hear what’s on your radar!
Mushrooms
One theme that’s been consistently popping up on my wishlist is mushroom puzzles. I’m not sure what it is about them—maybe it's the vibrant colors or just the quirky appeal of fungi, but I can’t get enough. I already own Mushrooms and Butterflies by Eeboo, which I absolutely adore. There’s something about the mix of mushrooms and butterflies that I find both calming and captivating. However, I’ve been eyeing Poisonous Mushrooms from the same brand. The thing that’s really drawing me to this one is the unique octagonal shape—it’s definitely not your typical square puzzle, which adds a fun twist. But do I need both?

It’s a question I keep asking myself. I already own several mushroom puzzles in my collection, like the 1000-piece version of Merry Mushroom Village by Buffalo Games. Still, I can’t help but love the variety of mushroom-themed puzzles out there. Shrooms in Bloom by Galison also catches my eye with its botanical style, and I find myself returning to it time and again. I may already own a couple, but it’s hard to resist the lure of adding more to the stack.

Picturesque Landscapes
Over the years, I’ve really developed a love for puzzles featuring sky and water. (I know not everyone’s favorite) There’s something about the calmness they evoke that makes them extra enjoyable to work on. Recently, I completed a couple of stunning scenery puzzles, and let me tell you—they were so satisfying. The final image is always so captivating, and the process of piecing it all together is incredibly soothing. One of my favorites from this month was Lake Summer by Karmin International. This brand doesn’t get enough credit for its incredible fit and piece quality—honestly, it’s a hidden gem in the puzzle world.

On my wishlist right now, I’ve got several puzzles from Clementoni, including Waterfall, The Ocean, and Paradise Beach. There’s just something about the way they capture nature’s beauty that really speaks to me. And, of course, I can't resist a good sunset puzzle. The mix of warm colors and tranquil landscapes always gets me. I’m definitely looking forward to adding a few more of these to my collection this year!
New Releases from Brands I Love
I’m always excited when new releases drop from puzzle brands I already know and love, and right now, I’m especially looking forward to the fresh images from Magnolia. If you haven’t tried their puzzles yet, you’re missing out. The matte pieces, vibrant colors, and unique artwork make them stand out. I can’t get enough of the variety they offer! What I love most is that there’s always something fresh and interesting, whether it’s a bold pop of color or an intricate, whimsical design.

Recently, I’ve had my eye on several new releases from Magnolia that just hit Puzzle Warehouse, including Girl & Cat, The Ballerina Girl, Nightfall, and Puzzle Cafe. Each one feels like a little piece of art in its own right, and I can’t wait to see which one ends up in my collection. Well, I know Nightfall will be on my shelves by the end of the week as I had no self control. It's also been so exciting to see Puzzle Warehouse collaborating with newer brands and bringing more unique, high-quality puzzles to the table. I can already tell 2025 will be a great year for new additions to my shelf!

Another brand I’m thrilled to see now available at Puzzle Warehouse is Antelope Puzzles. This brand has gained so much popularity lately, and it’s no surprise—finding their puzzles in stock can be a challenge! I’ve been so fortunate to meet the owners a few years ago, well before their popularity. It’s a small family owned brand that has been so fun to work with and watch them grow! Of course, I already own their Mushroom puzzle (it’s a must for any fungi fan), but there are a couple of new releases that are really catching my eye. One is Harvest Platter, which looks like it will be a fun and bright puzzle to work on. But what I’m really excited about is their new image, Popsicle. It’s the perfect summer puzzle—bright, fun, and ideal for anyone who loves a sweet treat. Fun fact: my parents own an ice cream boat, so this one feels like it was practically made for our summer vibe. I can't wait to get my hands on it and bring a little bit of that nostalgic summer feeling into puzzle form!

Puzzles from Artists I Love
When it comes to puzzles, I can’t resist adding artwork from my favorite artists to my collection. One of those artists is Dawn Allen, whose beautiful mermaid-themed puzzles never fail to captivate me. Miss Sunshine was one of my absolute favorite puzzles from last year, from Goodway and I’m eager to collect more from the series. I think Luna is at the top of my list. The way her artwork combines a whimsical, serene quality with rich details makes each puzzle a joy to work on. I’m particularly excited to explore more of her work through Goodway.

Another artist who always captures my attention is Demelsa Haughton. Her artwork is pure fun and whimsy, and I completed several of her designs, including Sweet Street and Rabbit Recital. But the puzzle I’m really eyeing right now is her 2000-piece masterpiece, Novel Avenue. This fantasy-themed puzzle takes you on a journey through a surreal and gothic landscape, where every piece feels like a portal to another realm. It features a girl reading on top of a giant book—how magical is that? I can already tell it will be a captivating challenge.

I’m also craving Demelsa Haughton’s If Fish Could Walk, another 2000-piece Ravensburger puzzle. This one transports you to a mystical realm where fish take on new dimensions and sea creatures come alive in vivid detail. The fantasy and gothic elements make it feel like a true escape into a dreamlike world. Plus, with Ravensburger’s high-quality craftsmanship, I know it’ll be a satisfying experience from start to finish.

As you can tell, my puzzle wishlist for the year is packed with a little bit of everything—mushrooms, stunning landscapes, whimsical artwork, and of course, new releases from my favorite brands. Whether it’s a peaceful sunset, a fantastical world, or the calming repetition of mushrooms, I know that these puzzles will bring hours of joy, relaxation, and a bit of magic to my days. (Plus it’s always just fun to get a new box of puzzle mail!) If you're as excited as I am about any of these puzzles, let me know in the comments—I'd love to hear what’s on your wishlist! Here’s to another year of puzzling, discovering, and getting lost in the beauty of it all!

What a fun blog! I love mushrooms and whimsical puzzles too. I don’t have a puzzle wishlist but those would be on it. How do you make puzzling your job??
