Brand Review : Madd Capp

A few years ago, I was lucky enough to travel to Texas for an impromptu reunion with two of my closest veterinary friends. While there, we visited the Fort Worth stockyards and got to see gorgeous Longhorns up close—what an experience!

When I was offered the chance to do a full brand review of Madd Capp Puzzles, I was thrilled. I knew I had to try I am Longhorn first—but to my surprise, they sent me SIX puzzles! Combined with ones I already had, it was a puzzler’s dream stack.

Let me tell you—Madd Capp puzzles are no joke. They’re shaped, they’re detailed, and even their lower piece count designs can be surprisingly tough. I dove into both I am Moose and I am Longhorn at once and had very different experiences.

I am Moose was easier than expected—great flow, and piece sections came together intuitively. But I am Longhorn proved trickier with dark shading and irregular piece shapes. Both were super rewarding!

Then there was I am Sunflower—bright, cheerful, and deceptively tricky for its 350 pieces. Don’t let low piece counts fool you; Madd Capp’s shaped puzzles add a challenge multiplier!

And then, the ultimate test: I am Cherry Blossom. Easily the most challenging puzzle I’ve ever completed—masses of pink petals and nearly no clues. It took weeks to finish and every ounce of puzzling stamina I had!

For something more balanced, I loved I am Mermaid. It’s a perfect mix of challenge and joy—and yes, I wrote an entire blog about it!

For bird lovers, I am Cardinal and I am Hummingbird were both beautiful and just the right difficulty.

Each Madd Capp puzzle feels one-of-a-kind. Their massive size, random cuts, unique box shape, and compostable packaging make the whole experience feel elevated. Whether you’re a casual puzzler or a die-hard challenge seeker, there’s something here for you.

Until next time, Jigsaw Junkies—happy puzzling!
